Ibil

Ibil, a groundbreaking book first released in 2015, delved into the implications of a worldwide coronavirus pandemic on society at large, with a particular focus on the Afghanistan-Pakistan-Iran region. The central narrative is set against the backdrop of a global coronavirus pandemic, during which the Taliban seize control of Afghanistan in what is known as the Seven Day War.

Synopsis

Ibil is a riveting biopunk action thriller that delves into the pressing issue of terrorism. It examines the emotional and environmental factors that ensnare individuals in this destructive cycle. The narrative centres around the 2013 MERS coronavirus pandemic, shedding light on its ancient origins. It also scrutinises the fallout from nations splitting into factions over a rumoured lab-leak and the gain-of-function theory related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The novel wrestles with the elements that give rise to various forms of terrorists, ranging from foot soldiers to lone wolves. It further discusses the factors contributing to the recent upsurge in terrorism, with corrupt regimes playing a pivotal role. Set against the backdrop of the coalition forces’ withdrawal from Afghanistan amidst a global coronavirus pandemic, Ibil reaches its climax during the Seven Day War. In this war, the Taliban, with assistance from Pakistan, swiftly seize control of Afghanistan. Their adversary, the Northern Alliance, backed by Tajikistan and India, strives to retain control over the Panjshir Valley. Despite being on opposing sides, numerous intelligence operatives must collaborate to prevent the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) from initiating a chimera virus pandemic. This intricate geopolitical web is further complicated when the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISIS-K) declares war on the Taliban.

Ibil is currently unavailable as it is out of print. However, it is slated for a re-release in 2024, with both paperback and ebook editions becoming available.
